Smith Fracture

The AP film looks very much like a Colles fracture, with a distal metaphyseal radius fracture that may be shortened and comminuted. The lateral film shows the volar angulation. In describing the fracture, be sure to look for associated ulnar styloid fractures (less common than with Colles fractures) and intra-articular involvement.
